The door was in pretty poor condition. The person who had fitted the glass panels had made a real hash of it. The objective, therefore, was to repair the wood and replace the panels with something nice.<\/p>\n<p>Since all three panels were being replaced we could do whatever we wanted and the design was a collaboration between myself and the client.<\/p>\n<table style=\"width: 98%;\" border=\"0\" cellspacing=\"3\" cellpadding=\"3\">\n<tbody>\n<tr valign=\"top\">\n<td style=\"width:50%;\">This is a picture of the door in its first stage of repair. The old panels have been removed and replaced with 4mm plain glass. For this panel I used only clear, frosted glass so that there would be no competition, colour-wise, between the door and the panel above it. However, with all four panels having a fair amount of detail there were rather a lot of individual pieces.
